April 2022

April got really busy with spring sports starting up- both boys playing baseball and soccer.

Jordon playing 13-15U soccer with the Spurs- he was injured in this game and unfortunately out for the rest of the season.

Jordon complained of his leg hurting after his soccer game on 4/3, but we figured he just sprained his ankle. When it didn't get better after a few days, we took him to urgent care and discovered he actually fractured his distal fibula and heel, and was put in a walking boot with a f/u appt with ortho. He was very bummed out that he was out of sports for the rest of the season.

For Jordon's birthday, we let the boys bring a friend along to a Royals game. This was when I met Wesley, who Tristan had become good friends with at school. These 2 have been almost inseparable since then and talk like teenagers on their phones. I joke that this was the beginning of their bromance, but they were in classes together all through 5th grade so began a friendship likely much sooner.

Whit was my favorite for so long, sad that he's been traded now.

These were KC hearts, done by artists and displayed throughout the KC Metro area- very cool. This is the boys in front of one of the hearts on Easter Sunday.

Tristan's soccer team got the chance to have a scrimmage game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Some of Jordon's friends/ teammates were refs for the game.

March 2022

I had to have a breast biopsy this month, which was both concerning and very expensive. Thanks be to God, findings were benign. I had bruising for several weeks but no other f/u needed besides routine screenings. The rest of the month was much better. Winter/indoor soccer winded down and spring/outdoor soccer started back up.

Jordon wanted to go out to eat at 54th Street Bar and Grill for his 14th birthday.

This video is classic Tristan. Loves to be goofy. Both boys like to play on the pond in the winter after it's frozen over and like an ice rink.

Tristan's Valentine's gift to us- he thinks I work too much and complain about cleaning the house too much, ha! Pretty accurate.

More middle school basketball photos- J said he got a layup basket + a free throw on this play

We got enough snow to go sledding down the hills near the school with Kyle and Alex.

I caught Tristan mid-air flopping in the snow on this one.

Love this photo I took on the farm with a dusting of snow!
