Kirchhoff Family Christmas

The kids table

Throwing down on Grandma's rolls

Jon doing what he does best!

Yes, Spiderman jammies!

I think Karli liked her Minnie Mouse Leap pad game :)

Thanks Aunt Sarzah for the awesome Mizzou jacket!

You know things are not looking good if Tim actually decides to get out the directions to read them. We
were trying to figure out the deal with "fire and ice" with the Sorry game.

Love getting shoulder rides from Aunt Sarzah. Tristan also likes piggyback, or as he
 calls them "piggybank" rides.

I am all blogged out for 2013 but glad to get everything caught up and ready for a new year! We have
had many blessings in 2013 and I'm looking forward to what 2014 has in store for us-- Happy New Year! It is 10:30 and I am going to bed to get some sleep before the pager goes off again :) Next New Year's Eve I will have to tone it down a notch and not be so wild and crazy :)

Christmas Morning!

Lots of excitement at the Ferrell house Christmas morning! Well, Jordon was pretty excited. Tristan
stays pretty stone-faced sometimes as he opens gifts, but then gets more excited later with playing with
everything, and is anxious to get gifts out of their packages asap. The Sneaky Snacky squirrel game has been a hit with the boys, and they have enjoyed the Leap pad. Don and the boys got me a beautiful Mother's frame that made me cry- a gift to be cherished!

The Boys on Christmas Eve

I
I'm actually not sure if this was on Christmas Eve, but Jon and Whitney stopped by to drop off gifts for
Christmas Day on the way to Kirksville. Jon got a new set of boots and here are the boys trying them out.

My boys spiffed up ready to leave for church on Christmas Eve. When we got back, we had a great time
preparing food for the next day, reading Christmas books, and getting cookies and carrots ready for Santa and the reindeer. Jordon said, "I think I'm gonna be like Little Critter and have trouble sleeping tonight cause I'm so excited Santa is coming." He was asleep about 5 minutes later.

Helping Mom make Peppermint cookies. We only wasted a few candy canes once Tristan dumped
some crushed ones here and there.

"I'm helping!" One of Tristan's favorite sayings.

Union Station

Union Station had a Lighted Train on display. You can see a picture painted of it above in
the mural behind us. People could walk through the train to see the huge collection of Santas
and other Christmas items decorating the train. There was so much to see that it was
difficult to try to take it all in during a quick walk-through, but still something to see. The kids also
enjoyed the electric trains that are on display every year at Union Station. The pictures of the kids
running was this cool animated display that you could walk or run across and your shadow would show up on the lighted wall. It kept them entertained for a while until the next group of kids came running through. I
had to try it out myself with some running jumping jacks. Fun to watch the figures keep moving even after you stop- it didn't capture in the photos what you could see at the site. A fun weekend outing we had on a
rare occasion that Daddy had a weekend day off work!

Lovin' me some Tristan

Big helper- he likes to help with laundry

Both boys have developed a liking for the hoodies.

Loved the big Curious Georges at the toy store at Crown Center

Trying a peppermint meringue cookie

Grandma and Jordon

Grandma came up for Grandparent's Day at Jordon's school earlier this month. They had a
good time making this candy gingerbread train, and then Jordon got to bring it home so we
could enjoy seeing it for Christmas.

Visiting Santa

A Hospice House volunteer is the best Santa I've ever seen! We have a few years worth of pictures
of the boys with this jolly and giving Santa. It's also fun to bring the boys into work so everyone can see
how much they've grown and how cute they are!
