From about July through December we did some home improvement in our kitchen and front room area. We hired a contractor to build a new island, with new bottom cabinets and countertops and replace the front door/ entryway where we had some wood rot. We ended up doing a lot of the work ourselves, and tore out the floors and carpet to replace with bamboo flooring. Removing the flooring was quite a job. The boys tried to help; Jordon actually helped quite a bit. We ended up with a family set of crowbars to handle this project! More after photos to come later.... we still have a few more things to do to complete the project, but most of it is done. Yay!
