Mississippi and Louisiana trip

The boys at Lambert's- home of the throwed rolls. Great place to eat on the way down south to visit Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dale

Fun park in Jackson, MS near Megan's house

Tristan snuggling up with Uncle Dale

My favorite thing we did in Mississppi-- picking blueberries at the blueberry patch! 25 acres of blueberries, and they were so good. We brought home lots and still have some in the freezer! Only drawback here was stepping in an anthill and learning about fire ants.

We decided to try canoeing on the Okatoma River. It was fun but everybody was pretty worn out afterwards! And within the first 5 minutes, Don and Jordon's canoe tipped over, so they got soaked and Don's cell phone was ruined. It was beautiful out on the river. We got hung up on logs a few times but no tipping over for Sharon, Tristan and me.

The boys loved this hurricane simulator at the John C. Stennis Space Center. Fun and interesting tour!

We went to Pearl River, Louisiana to go on a swamp tour. We saw lots of alligators, and it was fun to watch them eat marshmallows and hot dogs, and get very close to the boat!

This bridge on Pearl River was about 100 years old, and unfortunately they were preparing to knock it down. Too bad, cool piece of history. We also had shrimp po' boys while we were down here in Louisiana. The cajun food is so good!!

We had a great time visiting Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dale. I did have to visit urgent care while down there to get a steroid shot to clear up a nasty rash that was worse with the heat.... thought it was a reaction to use of target sunscreen, no more of that stuff for me!
