July

Tristan had his friend Trylan over and they went fishing in our pond. They discovered an oriole nest and saw the Mom feeing the baby in the nest. At one point the baby fell out and Trylan put her back in the nest. It didn't seem to bother the Mom and she kept feeding her. For a few days we were able to watch this remarkable part of nature before the baby got big enough to fly and leave the nest.

Grandma/ Mom turned 81 this year! We celebrated on the 4th at Jon's house.

Tristan finally got a chance to go to a Wild Life youth Christian group camp. This was his first time attending and he had a great time. He wants to keep going every year like Jordon has been. He was at Clearwater Cove, southern MO at Table Rock Lake.

This was a large deer I spotted walking on the trail one day, so cool

This is a throwback photo to my high school days, when I was in the flag group/ marching band.

Jordon was involved in a car accident at the end of the month, so thankful he wasn't hurt. His car was totaled. Someone in front of him stopped suddenly to avoid hitting an ATV, that was on the highway and wasn't supposed to be and was turning, without a signal. But that set off a chain of people including a trash truck and a SUV behind it, stopping suddenly. Jordon wasn't able to stop in time and rear-ended the SUV. So thankful nobody else was hurt and the lady he rear-ended was so nice and helped him settle down. Don was able to get in there pretty quickly and help manage the situation. His old soccer coach also stopped to check on him.
