September 2018

September brought more work on the house, Tristan's birthday party and more!

Our own Spiderman

2 ding-dongs at Wal-Mart

Shelf from Grandma Kirchhoff's kitchen is now in the boy's bathroom

This was a door to Grandma Kirchhoff's house that we are sanding down and refinishing that we plan to put up as a back door in our living room- wish I had gotten a photo before Don started sanding, but here it is, in the works.

Our red barn

More work on the house-- Don and I pulled down the shutters, old trim, and wood slats under windows from the front of the house, and discovered there was some old termite damage  and wood rot, so we had the bad wood replaced, insulation added, and then we added the decorative stone ourselves. Realized there is no "after" shot but maybe later. We plan to add landscaping in the spring and possibly paint the wood trim and garage. Good thing we don't mind projects, LOL!

Another fun test on FB- I found this to be pretty accurate for me and have always really liked owls!

Mason's 2nd birthday party

Tristan double-fisting to help break up dirt clods in the topsoil added to the front of the house

Small but mighty, lol

Fishing in the pond- Dad and Tristan- I told them I had seen huge catfish several times over in this area of the pond when I had been out walking Raleigh.

Jordon fishing

Jordon was so excited he caught one!

Party at Get Air Trampoline park with friends

Weenie roast with friends Trylan and Ryder who spent the night

Tristan found a turtle on his birthday on Route P and brought it home.

We let him go down near the pond.

One of his Prodigy guys- love the look on his face in this picture.

Dad got him a crossbow for his birthday.
