Halloween

Should I be concerned that my child has chosen to be the grim reaper twice in the last 3 years? 😄
It's been 2 different costumes. This one he liked because of the red eyes. 💀

Don set up some Halloween projections on the barn that looked pretty cool.

West side of property. I told Don I'd get the house painted before it got too cold and I got it done except for the trim in a few places.

Me and Beastie on a bike ride down to the trail. Not sure where Boogie was or if he didn't want to go? I can't remember...

It helps to climb if you stick your tongue out. 😛

First snow of the season at the end of October- boys having a snowball fight

Snow with the fall leaves was beautiful but also made me sad that the cold would make the colors go and leaves fall sooner.

One of Tristan's favorite things to do, play on the trampoline

A bonfire celebrating the end of season for Tristan's soccer team, the Railsplitters

Don's friend Patty from work and her family came by one weekend to pick some pears from the huge pear tree in our backyard. We finally got a fruit picker so we could pick some of the fruit up higher as well. We picked quite a bit and learned how good they can be just cooked in a crockpot with sugar and cinnamon. Also used some for baking crisps, cobblers and eating plain. Patty brought her 15 year old grandson and the boys also took some swings in the batting cage while they were here.

The boys liked throwing the rotten pears against objects to watch them splatter.

We love living in the country but sometimes feel pretty isolated with our political beliefs since we tend to lean Democratic. It was a nice surprise to see our neighbor across the road put up this banner on his barn. He also had a bunch of signs in the yard but this one on the barn for some reason gave me hope.

Several photos from our wedding 10/15/05- hard to believe it's been 15 years!

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love taking photos of the trees as they change colors. I wish the colors lasted longer!

We were surprised they used Tristan some as a catcher since he's a lefty, but they did.

This game was late in the fall season, cold and super foggy. It was only about 41 degrees when they played.
