August 2021

I love taking pictures of the sunsets and sky around our home.

Tristan and his beloved dog Raleigh

This is what Jordon's finger looked like when we removed his dressing after the z-plasty.

First day back to school

At sunrise

Coach Hawkins was looking for a few extra boys to help out on Jordon's soccer team with the Spurs. They played 15U this year. He asked if Tristan could help out. I was a little apprehensive at first, afraid he might get hurt playing with the bigger kids, as he was only 10, but Don encouraged it and Tristan decided he wanted to do it. It ended up being a lot of fun to watch the boys play on the same team. Tristan's first game with them, he scored a goal right out of the blocks. He went on to score several more goals during the season, including one that ended up being a game winner. Guess he showed he can run with the big dogs. Wish I could have gotten a photo of Jordon's response after the game-winning goal--Jordon picked Tristan up off the ground and gave him a big hug. At least they can get along on the field, not so much at home, lol.

Jordon #21, Tristan #8 in black with the Spurs, fall soccer

Tristan still falls asleep often in the car after games.

I think this was on the way home one day- beautiful!

Tristan's writing all about him from school. I chuckled at the part where he said he's good at getting mad. That would be accurate!
