December 2021

Weird, not sure why the photos uploaded backwards, but they are most recent to oldest for the month. So first ones are Kirchhoff family Christmas at Tim and Lauren's. Unfortunately, Jon's family was sick and unable to join us. Grandma was excited about her new green pants, lol.

Sisters- Karli and Kydall reluctantly tolerating each other

Not really a football game this time, just tossing the ball around. We didn't stay outside as long, too cold with the wind. It was supposed to be 62 degrees that day but didn't make it, and it was really windy.

Tristan doing a science experiment, from a National Geographic kit he got for Christmas.

Everyone enjoys the manger, even the Elf!

the boys on Christmas day

Raleigh tuckered out, with his new toy. He's already destroyed the others.

Smokey with his Nip Chips, lol

Tristan got Nirvana and Metallica shirts for Christmas

custom designed gloves for the boys- Dad ordered them and Aunt Sharon covered the cost as a Christmas gift- boys were pretty excited with how they turned out

Dad was getting irritated with taking photos.

We tried the snow globe at church- great idea but unfortunately couldn't see too good through the plastic.

The church had some nativity animals there, including goats, donkeys and a camel!

We went to Powell Gardens to see the Festival of Lights. Boys did some whining but otherwise it was a good time and we enjoyed the lights, not too cold either. We threatened to leave them at home next time, lol. They enjoyed hot chocolate at the end of the tour, and we visited their gift shop to find some unique ornaments.

View from the top of the silo

Raleigh's Santa toy that the boys gave him before Christmas- it did not even last 1 day before he tore it up and was ripping the stuffing out.

Tristan's 5-6th grade boys PH rec basketball team- Coach Williams, his soccer coach is head coach and Don is helping as an assistant coach. Don continues to serve as assistant coach for middle school basketball at Belton where he teaches. Coach Williams also coaches in Blue Springs where he teaches.

Tristan is #2

Tristan getting his 2nd Covid-19 vaccine on Dec. 7th. He was so excited and kept asking when he would be considered fully vaccinated. So glad my boys see the value in the vaccines and were happy to get them when they became eligible.

Jordon- middle school baseketball

My load of pumpkins and gourds I hauled off the front porch in early December. Love the variety of colors.

Boys and Don putting tree together in early December. Next year we'll see if we can get started decorating any earlier...

New Years Eve- No photos to share, but it's been busy. I am on call today and have to work the weekend at KC Hospice House. Don and the boys went to Columbia to pick up a go-kart and are getting back late this evening. I have to drive to KC early in the morning in what they are forecasting as a ice/sleet/snow storm, so hoping to stay safe. No partying here! Going to bed soon or when the calls stop coming in. Hoping for a happy, healthy, and blessed New Year for all!
