Honor Flight

Don and I went to see the Honor Flight movie at a show that was offered by my work. We both thought it was fantastic and very moving. It had special meaning for Don, since he is a combat veteran. I encouraged him to apply and become a Guardian, and attend a flight with a veteran. He did that and was able to go to Washington DC for a one day trip with a group of World War II and Korean War veterans. It was a fantastic experience and one that he very much enjoyed. He also found out that each Honor Flight has 2 palliative care nurses on board to help tend to needs of veterans. We've talked about the possibility of taking another flight together.
